Trip to Queenstown

In the first week of term 3, we were going to Queenstown on Thursday.  We had to get up at 5.00 since our flight left at 6.00

Our flight left at six so we got ready and headed off to the airport. Once or flight got called we jumped aboard and off we went. We had to go to Wellington first and then we go to Queenstown. The thing about planes that I hate the most is when they go sideways it is so scary it is like the plane is tipping over, and the worst part is that we are oversea so all you can see when you turn is the sea. When we got to Wellington airport we went straight to the lounge to get something to eat for breakfast. Ruby and I got hash browns and bacon and some fruit, and my parents got some yogurt.

We had to wait like four hours since our flight was delayed so we decided to go and have a walk and look around town. Once it was 10.45 we went back since our flight left at 12.30. We were in the longe waiting and waiting until our flight got called we all got and wheeled our luggage to the dropoff center and went aboard. This time Ruby and I sat next to each other since we got to watch t.v on our iPad, the flight was two hours and thirty minutes. I started to get pins and needles in my legs. I was hoping to see snow when we flew into Queenstown but we didn't we just saw mountains with heaps of snow on it.

We quickly rushed to pick up our campervan and then we were on the road it took us thirty minutes to get to our campground and once we got there we had dinner and went to bed in the campervan we were that tired.

The next day we went to this place called puzzling world and it is where you solve puzzles and do cool illusions. We got to go in different rooms and do all kinds of stuff in one room there was this ball and you touch it and in the of the ball, it is like lightning. Then after that we drove to Wanaka and did some stuff there and then my mum had the best idea to do a photo challenge and it was like someone would start and choose a picture for the other people and the person who chooses the picture had to turn around so they couldn't see who took what and then the person who chooses the picture looks at all of the photos and picks one that is the best and then whoever wins gets one Lollie and they choose the next picture.

The day after that me Ruby and dad all went skiing it was so much fun at first we didn't know how to ski so we went into a lesson and they taught us how to ski and after that, we were skiing down big slops and it was amazing, while we were learning we fell over quite a few times but it was okay because we were learning. My dad was not skiing he was snowboarding and on the first slop he went down he hurt himself, but he recovered and he still kept going.

Those were my highlights of Queenstown. Being in Queenstown for eight days was so much fun!
